Hello, this is Brandon with another Mix Minute, and today we’ll discuss how room reverb adds depth and dimension to guitars.
Reverb gives our brain cues to tell us the size of a source. This is why a source with no reverb can feel small and flat.
Bus all of your guitars to a reverb send, and add subtle amounts. We’re not going for obvious reverb, but rather the perception of depth.
You’ll know you’re there when you can mute the reverb send and the guitars feel flat.
