Hello, this is Brandon with another Mix Minute, and today we’re going to talk about an uncommon, but effective, source for guitar saturation.

Electric guitars benefit from the natural compression of saturation. And we often use analog modeled EQ’s to seat them in the mix.

However, those analog eq’s can impart a very nice saturation to our guitars, eliminating the need for a second saturation plugin. Simply drive the input, and be sure to compensate for this by turning down the output.
