Learn more about MMultiAnalyzer

Hello this is Brandon with another Mix Minute, and today we’re going to show how to manually compensate for changes in loudness.

Start by placing a linear trim control at the end of your plugin chain. Follow this by placing an instance of MMultiAnalyzer at the beginning of the chain, and another at the end after the trim control.

While measuring short term loudness, adjust the trim control until the loudness level at the end of the chain matches the loudness at the beginning.

This technique demonstrated on Candlebox’s “Happy Pills”. Get a copy of these multitracks free from the cambridge educational multitrack archive. http://cambridge-mt.com/ms/mtk/#Candlebox
